Due to the surrender of our PokerStars Sochi licence and the closing of our PokerStars Sochi offering, we inform you that, as of April 6, 2025 (“Deadline Date”), you will no longer be able to access your account on PokerStars Sochi and we will cease to hold any funds in your account.
In accordance with and subject to the limitations below, including your right to opt-out and withdraw your funds instead, we have agreed to transfer our PokerStars Sochi database and balances to an unaffiliated third-party operator PokerPlanets.com. PokerPlanets.com offers online poker internationally under a Curacao licence issued by the Curacao Gaming Control Board (licence number OGL/2024/1469/0855).

Will EPT Sochi live events return to Sochi again?
As things stand, we currently have no plans to host live events in Sochi again.
When will I be able to play on PokerStars Sochi again?
Due to the expiration of the PokerStars Sochi licence, access to accounts and participation in games via our PokerStars Sochi offering will no longer be possible.
What does this mean for me?
The following options are available to you:
Option 1: Our transfer of your PokerStars Sochi personal data and balances to PokerPlanets.com
We will transfer to PokerPlanets.com: (i) the personal data we have for you on our records (“Your Data”); and (ii) any positive balance you have on your PokerStars Sochi account on the Deadline Date (“Your Balance”), unless you opt-out in the manner described below.
You do not need to take any action to select this option.
Option 2: Withdrawing your balance
You have the option to request a withdrawal of Your Balance via the website contact form on PokerStars Sochi website (see How do I make a refund request? Section below for more details) any time prior to the Deadline Date. The refund method available to you is Luxon Pay (“Refund Provider”).
If you do not: (i) opt-out in the manner described below; or (ii) request a withdrawal of Your Balance prior to the Deadline Date, we will transfer Your Data and Your Balance to PokerPlanets.com.
Please note: If you: (i) opt-out in the manner described below, but (ii) have not submitted a request to withdraw Your Balance prior to the Deadline Date in accordance with Option 2 above, we will endeavour to use all available means to send Your Balance back to you via the Refund Provider, and, if this is not possible, we will forfeit Your Balance.
Can I opt-out of this?
Yes, if you do not wish Your Data or Your Balance to be transferred to PokerPlanets.com as described above, you are entitled to opt out of this transfer; provided that the opt-out regarding Your Balance is conditional on your withdrawal of Your Balance or there being an available means for us to transfer Your Balance back to you (as described in more detail above).
You will receive an email survey from us in which you will be asked whether you wish to opt-out. Please provide your response to the email survey by the Deadline Date if you wish to opt-out. Please note that any decision by you to opt-out is a decision to opt-out of our transferring of both Your Data and Your Balance to PokerPlanets.com. You cannot opt-out of just one of these transfers.
How do I make a refund request?
Please be informed that the “Cashier” section in the PokerStars Sochi client is not available. If you would like to request a refund of Your Balance, you can do so via the website contact form on PokerStars Sochi website any time prior to the Deadline Date by choosing category ‘My Stars Account’ and subcategory ‘Payments queries: Refund request’.

The email address associated with your Stars Account should always be used to contact Customer Support. If you cannot access your Stars Account and have forgotten the registered email address, please provide the following information when contacting us through the website contact form, so we can assist you promptly:
Are my funds safe?
We would like to assure you that in line with our customer protection standards and regulatory obligations, Your Balance remains safe whilst it remains with us. All funds and balances that we hold are kept in segregated accounts and are never used for operational expenses.

Please be advised that Rational Live Events (Malta) Limited and our corporate group disclaims any liability for any issues or claims that may arise from the transfer of Your Data or Your Balance arising out of or related to the transfers detailed above or subsequent issues related thereto, except as prohibited by law.
If you have any issues or concerns regarding either: (i) Your Data or Your Balance that has been transferred to PokerPlanets.com; or (ii) Your Balance that you have withdrawn to the Refund Provider via your PokerStars Sochi account, we encourage you to direct your queries to, as applicable, PokerPlanets.com or the Refund Provider. However, should you prefer to contact us, we will do our best to assist you with any queries you may have regarding the foregoing.
However, we assure you that any of Your Data or Your Balances that we may transfer in accordance with the above will be transferred to PokerPlanets.com in a technically secure manner in accordance with our internal security requirements.
We may retain a copy of Your Data in order for us to meet our auditing, compliance and legal obligations or in the event we wish to communicate with you in the future. In any event, we will retain Your Data for no more than then ten years after the last activity related to Your Data.
